On Being Thankful

It’s very important to be thankful for everything that comes one’s way – big or small. Even when it seems like a bad situation, one must always try to find and focus on the positive. For example, ‘even though it’s not obvious looking at my bank statement, I’m incredibly rich. I live on $65 a day, some of my African brothers and sisters live on less than $1!’ Or, ‘I’m blessed to be facing this problem today. It means that I was able to weather the storms of yesterday.’ Until you learn to be thankful for what is not enough, you can’t bring yourself to truly appreciate what is enough. Besides, no one likes to be around a complaining complainer!
